Trusting Like St. James in the Night

Like one who walks in the quiet and seeks light among the evening shadows, I open myself to the silence and the gift of your presence, merciful Father.

Today, in my fragility, I remember the courage and faith of St. James, your apostle.

I acknowledge my weariness, the uncertainties that weigh on my heart, and I welcome them as seeds of trust.

Teach me to follow you, even when the path is dark and my steps are unsure.

Make me docile and ready, like your faithful disciple.

Renew hope within me, grant peaceful rest to my soul and my body.

Protect those I love, and let the night bring forth a new dawn of light.
