Trust Beyond Martyrdom

In the silence of the evening I listen as my heart grows still before You.

Everything calms down and the day gently settles upon my soul.

O Lord, just as John the Baptist remained faithful even in martyrdom, grant me the courage to stand for truth in daily life.

I entrust to You the fears and doubts gathered today.

Sustain me in perseverance and guide me in the light of Your promise.

Keep my rest safe and protect those I love.

Walk with me through the night.
