New Light on the Heart

In the luminous silence of the morning I open my heart to this day.

Lord, walk beside me as the streets of the city awaken.

I entrust my family to You, that You may watch over and protect them.

Give comfort to those who wake today in loneliness or illness.

Strengthen those I will meet along the way; let me be a sign of Your peace.

Your love renews in me trust and the desire for goodness.

In the new day that is born, I kindle hope in Your presence.

Let every step be light for those in need.
