Comfort in the Night

I think of those who today carried a hidden burden or felt weary at heart.

Caress, O merciful Father, every suffering with Your love.

I thank You for every smile given and received, for the small lights that illuminated the path of this day.

Nothing has been in vain in Your hands.

Now I entrust to You my anxieties and every worry, asking for peace and renewal in the silence of this evening.

Revive hope in trembling hearts and comfort those who feel alone.

Hold everyone in Your strong and faithful embrace.
