In the Stillness of the Evening, Thank You, Father

Merciful Father, in the silence of this evening I thank You for every gift received today.

I praise You for Your presence that guides each of my steps.

Thank You for the love You have sown in my encounters and for the strength given in difficult times.

I entrust my fears and my thoughts to You, asking for Your peace in my heart.

Protect those I love and watch over those who suffer.

Grant me a peaceful sleep, certain of Your closeness.

Renew my trust in Your love, every night and every day.
