Light in the Night of the Heart

I pray for those who encounter the night in loneliness or suffering.

My first thought goes to those who carry hidden burdens in their hearts and long for comfort.

Merciful Father, today I lift to You a song of praise for the hidden gifts in this day drawing to a close.

Thank You for every kind glance, for every gentle word, for the silent breath of peace beneath Your gaze.

Now I entrust my family and all those I love to You.

I ask You to watch over our rest, to wrap every thought of ours in Your light.

Grant us peace and trust, and make our hearts serene for the night.

I trust in You, who each night renew hope.
