Evening Truce in the Heart

On this evening, I think with gratitude of those I met today and of those going through moments of hardship and loneliness.

Thank You for every step taken and for the small joys given.

Renew in me peace and trust so that I may entrust You with my fears and thoughts.

Grant serenity to those who carry hidden burdens and rest to those who feel weary in body and soul.

Watch over my heart in the silence of the night and protect my loved ones.

Accompany me in sleep and watch over those I love.

May Your light be my guide until the dawn.

Protect those who pray and those who hope.
