In the Silence of the Evening

Quiet falls and all is still, only a deep breath remains in the heart.

The light of today slowly fades, as I follow the steps of a day now complete.

Thank you for every encounter, for what I have been able to give, for the small signs of goodness.

Now I entrust every restless thought to greater hands.

I ask for peace in my heart and serene rest in the darkness of the night.
