Merciful Father, as evening falls I entrust this day to you.

I thank you for every smile received and for the gift of your faithful presence.

In the silence of the night, Jesus, I entrust to you my fears and my hopes.

You who watch over every creature, protect my rest and grant peace to my thoughts.
