In the Silence of Good Friday

Lord Jesus,

in the silence of this evening

my heart stands still before the mystery.

Everything seems finished,

everything seems over,

yet your love remains.

Teach me to trust in the darkness,

to believe even when I cannot see,

to hope even in silence.

Hold my fears,

guard my heart

and give me your peace.

I stay with You,

in the silence of this night.
