In the Heart of the Day

Thank you for every breath granted to me in this moment of afternoon calm.

Lord, I recognize Your presence in the small gifts of today and in the people I meet.

Grant me discernment and the strength to make good choices throughout the rest of the day.

Guide my thoughts and actions so they may bring goodness and hope.

Sustain my steps when fatigue sets in.

I entrust to You my doubts and my weaknesses, confident in Your mercy.

Renew in me the zeal for goodness, today and always.
