Light and Comfort at the Start of the Day

In the silence before any noise, I welcome the new day with an open heart.

Thank you, Lord, for the light you give me today and for your love that watches over me.

I entrust you with my wounds, asking for peace for what troubles me and comfort in my weaknesses.

Give strength to my heart, protect those I love, and restore hope to weary steps.

Stay close to those who today feel the weight of loneliness or of trial.

Sustain my faith, guide my thoughts toward what heals and opens to goodness.

I surrender trustfully in You: receive me into Your peace.
