Praise for the Gift of Life

Thank you for this new day that rises and for the breath that fills my heart with hope.

Lord Jesus, today I contemplate you in the light that illuminates the city and in the smile of those I meet.

Open my eyes to goodness and give my heart the strength to love.

Protect me in the steps I will take, guide my mind toward peace and listening.

I trust in your sure presence, certain that your hand accompanies my day.

In You I find serenity.
