In the Gift of a New Day

Merciful Father, I thank you for this new day you give me.

Praised be your love that awakens me every morning and accompanies me.

Thank you for the light that illuminates my path and for the breath you renew within me.

Jesus, I entrust to you my steps today: guide me with your presence and protect me from all evil.

Grant me strength to face both small and great challenges.

Help me to recognize the good and to share smiles and hope with those I meet.
