Merciful Father, I thank you for the gift of this new day.

Receive my gratitude for life and for every person I meet.

Grant serenity to my heart and make it attentive to goodness.

Guide my steps toward the light, support my words and actions so they bring hope.

Protect those I love, enlighten my thoughts through both hardship and joy.

I entrust my worries to you, confident in your loving presence.

Watch over my journey and that of whoever reads this prayer.
