Gift of Stillness to the Heart

In the silence of the new day I welcome the light that is born.

Lord Jesus, thank you for my breath, for this moment of life that you give me.

I ask you to bring peace to my wounds and new hope to my expectations.

Stay close to me when weariness knocks at my heart and slows my steps.

Let me feel Your comfort every time fear surprises me.

Bless those I carry in my soul and illuminate every action of my day.

Watch over me and protect those I love under Your merciful gaze.
